Go get the popcorn

E-180 will be taking a new shift in the new media era: the online 7e art. We might not be ready to call ourselves the new Participant Media just yet (go check out facts on their great documentary Food, Inc), but like them, we do believe that a well told story could really change one’s perception on the world. Since we are dedicated to help people transform their education, to reclaim and develop their knowledge, we decided to find people that were doing so in their own way and capture it on video.

We are happy to announce the upcoming of our very first video podcast series. We dug hard and found some of the most evocative ways to illustrate how one can learn outside of school. You’ll discover that playing with your Playstation, finding a part time job or helping your grandmother with Thanksgiving dinner could shape your education… Our capsules will be presented here on E-180 and hopefully on a few other platforms (we’re working hard on that). In the meantime, here are some pretty interesting sites you can visit and enjoy very good videos on the various faces of social change:

Be ready to add E-180 on that list soon!

School kills creativity, he says.

With 4 days to go until the next TED, we thought we would share one of our favorite TEDtalk with you.

Why don’t we get the best out of people? Sir Ken Robinson argues that it’s because we’ve been educated to become good workers, rather than creative thinkers.

His latest book, The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything was published in January 2009.
