Alexandre Spaeth
After an engineering school in France (Supélec), Alexandre came to Quebec in August 2007 to complete his studies with a Master in computer engineering at the École Polytechnique de Montréal about adaptative learning system. Specializing in artificial intelligence, he is currently conducting a PhD thesis on recommender systems and intelligent collaborative filters in collaboration with a dating website.
During his studies in France, he presided the school’s robotics club, giving him the opportunity to manage a team of about 10 students. The club takes part to several championships and finished 8th out of 170 teams at the French cup. Sports fan, Alex plays handball and waterpolo and is a regular referee in youth waterpolo tournaments in the Montreal area.
As the Chief technological officer, Alexandre is responsible of developing the tools E-180 needs to connect its users: developing the algorithm performing the matches, managing the volunteers team developing the platform and keeping in touch with the innovation relevant to E-180’s mission.
